In 2023, we received a commission from The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust to re-thatch the world famous Anne Hathaway’s Cottage in Stratford Upon Avon, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the UK with undoubtedly the most photographed thatched roof cottage in the world!

— Graham – Maids MortonWe first met Jamie (Premier Thatching) in 2012 when he came to rethatch part of our thatch, at the time we were in the process of a complete renovation of our 17th century cottage. He was able to liaise with our builder and complete the thatch and ridge to a high standard. We have kept in contact with Jamie ever since and he has been back to patch areas of our old thatch which was not renewed in 2012 rather than replace a whole area, which he has been happy to do. Last year we decided to re ridge a rear section and build up some of the thatch, we asked Jamie to complete this work, we have always been delighted with the standard of his work, and have recommended him to many other thatch owners in our village and the surrounding area.
